Tiny Box Company is the business Rachel Watkyn OBE is best known for. Founded in 2007, it has grown from a simple idea into one of the UK’s best-known online packaging suppliers, offering gift boxes, gift bags, postal boxes, tissue paper, ribbon, jewellery gift boxes, photography packaging and branded packaging for businesses of all shapes and sizes.
Rachel started Tiny Box Company after struggling to find eco-friendly packaging for her own jewellery business. The options available at the time were mostly plastic, cheaply made, or nowhere near stylish enough for a product that deserved to be presented properly.
So Tiny Box Company was born.
Now a thriving business with 75-100 staff depending on the time of year, the youngest 17 (who works part time around College) and the oldest 80 (also part time who works around retirement but loves being kept active!). Tiny Box isn't just a brand, it's a family, a community.

The company’s growth has also been part of Rachel’s wider public story. Tiny Box Company appeared on Dragons’ Den and received investment from Theo Paphitis and Peter Jones. Since then, Rachel has continued to build the business while keeping sustainability, ethical growth and practical packaging solutions at the centre. In 2024, Rachel was awarded an OBE for services to sustainable and ethical business growth and exports.
Today, The Dragons are still involved and hold 40% of the company. Tiny Box Company reflects much of what Rachel stands for: better choices, less nonsense, more access, and a belief that businesses should be able to do things properly without needing to be enormous before they start.
